Start with the question. Build the image set around it.
A useful inspection image set connects the whole property with the details your team needs to review. This guide helps you brief the location, coverage and handoff before a flight is planned.

THE MOST USEFUL STARTING POINT
What needs a closer look?
A general property record, a particular roof area and a completion photo set call for different coverage. Tell us what prompted the request, who will review the imagery and what they need to see.
For example: “Our maintenance team needs a roof overview and detail views around the equipment” is more actionable than “We need drone pictures.” If the team already has an area list or marked plan, describe it in the brief.
Three kinds of views can make the record easier to use.
Establish the property
Wide views show the building, roof layout and surroundings. They help a reviewer understand where each closer photograph belongs.
Identify priority areas
Discuss the roof sections, equipment, edges, transitions or exterior features that matter to the request. Access, visibility and operating conditions determine the views that can be captured.
Keep the handoff organized
Agree how the recipient will find each area: a selected photo set, folders by area, an image index or scoped annotations. Plan the structure before capture.
YOUR PRINTABLE CHECKLIST
Bring these details to the brief.
You do not need every answer before contacting Bradley. Start with what you know.

DELIVERABLE OPTIONS / AGREED IN THE PROPOSAL
Choose a handoff your team can use.
Overview and detail photographs
An edited selection that combines property context with the priority features agreed in advance.
An organized documentation set
Date and area organization, an image index and selected captions help the recipient navigate a larger record.
A presentation for review
Discuss scoped annotations or a PDF presentation when the images need to support a meeting or another professional’s review.
Thermal imagery may be worth discussing when the question and conditions suit it. It has its own capture considerations and should be planned as part of the assignment, rather than treated as a universal add-on.
Aerial imagery records visible conditions at capture. It supports professional review and does not replace a hands-on inspection, engineering assessment or insurance determination.
PUT THE PLAN INTO MOTION
Let’s define the coverage.
Share the location, the areas you need to see and the people who will use the result.
